Dermal Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane)

What is it?
Dermal fillers are designed to replace and mimic your body's soft tissue in order to restore lost facial volume & support. This service is great for plumping up, adding hydration to and/or smoothing fine lines and facial balancing. We can use dermal fillers to enhance your natural features or correct for structural imbalances. We use Hyaluronic Acid (HA) based fillers which are FDA approved and safe for most healthy individuals since our bodies naturally produce and dissolve HA. HA fillers can easily be dissolved by injecting a filler reversing agent into the area of concern if necessary.
How long does it last?
Depending on what area of your face is being treated, we use different types of filler for different purposes. A smoother, softer filler for your lips might last 6-9 months while a more structural filler for your chin or jawline can last 12+ months. Every person metabolizes HA filler differently so our injectors will present you with a realistic range. You will not see the filler disappear overnight, but rather progressively since your body will dissolve the product slowly over time.
How soon will I see results?
Instantly! Unlike botox or microneedling, you will be able to visibly see your results immediately after injection. You will most likely experience mild swelling and potential bruising of the treated area, in which case you might need to wait 1-2 weeks to see your final results once your skin is healed.
How many syringes will I need?
Your provider will assess the areas of concern to determine how much product (syringes) you will need to be treated with to achieve your desired results. On average, you can expect to need this many syringes for the following areas:
- Lips - 1 syringe
- Cheeks - 1-2 syringes
- Chin - 1-2 syringes
- Jawline- 2-6 syringes
- Nasolabial folds- 1-2 syringes
- Marionette Lines- 1-2 syringes
- Undereyes- 1-2 syringes
